Recycling update!

We have been doing such an amazing job collecting the crisp packets and chocolate wrappers for Terracycle that we have stopped 15,060 crisp/popcorn wrappers and 2,680 chocolate wrappers going to landfill!!!

We have also stopped toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes, used pens, batteries and prescription glasses going to landfill by taking them to local drop off points. These are then boxed and sent to Terracycle for recycling.

A great big thankyou to everyone for helping us make this world a cleaner healthier place to live in.

Please keep them coming in (in separate bags please)

Crisp packets

We have teamed up with Terracycle to collect empty crisp/popcorn/pretzel packets. These packets can't be recycled at the kerbside and ultimately end up in landfill.
Terracycle sort, shred and wash the packets. This material is then made into hard granulated plastic granules. These granules are then used for different products such as fence posts and benches. We have already collected an enormous amount of packets through children's lunch boxes. This is an ongoing collection so please keep the packets coming in.
