Talking to Governors and Parent Forums
On Monday 11th November Holly Nash and Ethan Evans talked to the Governing Body and Joel Jones and Chelsey Smart talked to the Parents Forum on Tuesday 12th about the Eco Council. They talked about what has been achieved and what we plan to do next. Our next Eco Council meeting will be to discuss voting for a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

Our first meeting in Autumn 2013
We got together for our photo and talked about a recycling point in the school. We will be having the main recycling point in the middle block hall. We are recycling plastics, paper and card as well as clothing. We will be decorating our recycling area with posters about the importance of recycling.

Thankyou Price and Co!
We would like to give a great big thankyou to Price and Co. Gelligaer for donating a substantial amount of top soil.
The Eco council can't wait to get their hands dirty and start planting!

large selection of planting kits. This coupled with the top soil from
Price and Co. is going to keep the ECO council very busy indeed!

Introductions
The new Eco members introduced themselves to each other and it was explained that Mrs Davies and Mrs Evans will be overseeing them. It was explained to them that we have achieved Bronze status and how we achieved it. .
Mrs Davies asked them to create an Eco mascot and to think of different ways to save energy in school.
